ESP Wellhead Completions at the Ready!

While we are known for our leading and most reliable ESP penetrator, we also stock a full line of 7-1/16” 3,000 psi to 15,000 psi wellhead completion solutions. These systems feature our leading slim P3000-2 penetrator system and can be used with 2-3/8”, 2-7/8”, and 3-1/2” tubing inside the 7-1/16” bowl profile with suitable sized production casing. We can also supply 11” completions, along with GT-6, and hammer nut completions for use with our penetrator.

Hanger completions offer a low cost solution while maintaining well control through a BOP during installation. Hangers are available with, and without, Type H BPV threads to serve your SOP requirements. A short nipple is used to make up a threaded Christmas tree or a companion flange that can adapt to a flanged tree.

 

Better - ESP Hanger with Cover Plate and P3000-2 Penetrator

The Cover Plate system offers the same abilities as the hanger completion with a 3,000 psi secondary seal for both environmental and well control. The cover plate protects both the ring groove and lock screws to ensure future rework can be accomplished without issues. The P3000-2 system can be used with 2-3/8”, 2-7/8”, and 3-1/2” tubing inside the 7-1/16” bowl profile.

ESP Hanger and Adapter completions offer the most control and versatility.  The adapter allows for testing the flange void after make-up. This ensures all sealing components are holding. With a spin flange on the bottom and an orientation flange on top, pump cable alignment and flow line orientation can be achieved with great ease. All hangers come ported to accommodate up to 1/2” capillary line, if required.

Hangers are available with and without Type H BPV threads to serve your barrier requirements. A short nipple is used to make up a Christmas tree or companion flange that can adapt to a flanged tree.

QCI stocks a full line of hangers to support ALL brands of tubing spools. Our experience with more than 50 styles of hangers provides us the unique ability to deliver, with confidence, a hanger that will fit the tubing spool on your well without a costly re-completion spool. Most hangers are stocked with a 3/8” port to support common 3/8” and 1/4" capillary lines. Additional ports can be added to meet your specific requirements.

Adapters

ESP hanger and adapter solutions offer the most control and versatility. The adapter allows for testing the flange void after make-up. This ensures all components are sealed and a witnessed or charted confirmation. The adapter features a rotation flange to make up to the tubing spool. This allows the adapter to be bolted up to the tubing spool regardless of the hanger’s orientation. A top rotation flange on the adapter allows the trees flowline to be made up in any direction to accommodate minimal change to any existing flow lines on location. All hangers and adapters come with 3/8” porting to support a 3/8” or 1/4” capillary line and is plugged off if not used.

QCI stocks 7-1/16” adapters for 3,000 psi, 5,000 psi, 10,000 psi, and 15,000 psi applications. While 5,000 psi top flange connections are most common, we also stock 10,000 psi top connections to allow for the use of your original flow back tree.

Cover Plates

Hanger with Cover Plate Solutions The Hanger with cover plate solution offers the same reliability of the hanger only solution and adds a cover plate. The cover plate is placed over an extended neck of the hanger and matches the flange diameter of the tubing spool’s top flange. The cover plate protects both the ring groove and lock-screws to ensure future rework can be accomplished without issues. We offer both steel and rubber cover plate solutions to protect the tubing spool from the elements and complete the well. 

Steel Cover Plate - These cover plates provide an additional barrier of protection from the elements with a seal around the neck of the hanger and in the ring groove of the tubing spool. These seals protect the hanger and tubing spool from corrosion and provide a secondary seal for the tubing hangers body seals. 
Rubber Cover Plate – Rubber cover plates are a simple solution to top the well and protect it from the elements and are offered in 7-1/16” 5,000 and 10,000 flange diameters. 

Water Source Wells

 

Water source wells are typically more shallow than productions wells and do not need the same protections from downhole pressures and FRAC operations. To meet this need, QCI offers ESP wellhead solutions specifically designed for water source wells. 

These low-cost solutions provide improved reliability, safety, and performance over traditional packoff systems. Lower cost threaded wellhead offer savings over flanged wellhead components and can support 4-1/2” through 13-5/8” production casing sizes.

Solid mandrel hangers replace the traditional packoff completions to eliminate failures associated with sealing on the lead of the ESP pump cable. This ensures the best run life, improves safety, and a NEC code compliant solution. Tubing support is offered in 2-3/8”, 2-7/8”, and 3-1/2”, with options for larger sizes. Most hangers are stocked with a 3/8” port to support common 3/8” and 1/4" capillary lines. Additional ports can be added to meet your specific requirements.

The P3000-2 penetrator solution is used to provide the highest reliability on the market with its patented cable seal technology. A local conduit box provides direct access to trouble shooting downhole challenges and eliminates the need for a junction box. The P3000-2 system is offered with FM, CSA, ATEX, and IECEx third party certifications to ensure reliability and local code compliance.

Frac Isolator

 

The FRAC Isolation Adapter provides dual barrier protection for ESP completed wells during FRAC operations on adjacent wells without the need to pull the ESP and rerun following the FRAC. This innovative approach replaces the existing ESP completion adapter with the FRAC Isolation Adapter without the costly setup and expense of a workover rig.

 

The simple design uses a 5,000 PSI rated isolation sleeve run over the penetrator wires to support two testable barriers of protection. A BPV in the tubing string and a master valve is used to provide protection on the tubing.

The capillary line is also addressed with adding a second Swagelok and cap to the end. A union can be used to reconnect the line again on re-completion.
