Tod joined QCI when it was founded. Originally from Houston, Texas, Tod was recruited while attending the University of Houston to join Boyd Moore to develop a new approach for ESP penetrators. This challenge was met with Tod’s strong knowledge of wellhead systems from his experience at Ingram Cactus and his pursuit of his mechanical engineering degree at the University of Houston.
Tod’s diverse experience in ESP installations, Packer Penetrators, and Heater applications, along with his experience and knowledge of regional applications, codes and practices, continues to provide QCI the foundation and leadership to deliver the most advanced solutions to its customers.
Chief Operating Officer
Peter joined QCI in 2017 as Chief Operating Officer. Originally from Aberdeen Scotland, Peter started his oilfield career with Schlumberger in the Netherlands. After four years as a cementing and stimulation engineer, he joined Baker Hughes Centrilift in Aberdeen. Over the subsequent 23 years with Baker Hughes, Peter became a subject matter expert in ESP systems working predominantly in Europe and Africa in a variety of Engineering, Sales and Operations roles. In 2005, Peter moved to global headquarters in Claremore, Oklahoma, where he served as the Director of Technology for BHI Artificial Lift Systems. Peter holds a Bachelor of Engineering from The Robert Gordons University Aberdeen and a Masters in Business Administration from Bradford University.
MENA General Manager
Ivan Shelby joined QCI in February of 2018. He has been in Oman for 11 years and has built up a wealth of experience in that time. A senior management professional with more than 15+ years of practical work experience in Business Project Management in diversified industries such as Oil and Gas, Construction, Logistics & Operations. Offering core expertise in general management, operations management, business administration, business development, sales-marketing and staff management.
His work experience stretches across multiple sectors and countries. He has worked with numerous startups on their business setup and marketplace establishment developing a strategy for market entry and growth. In addition to his work experience he has completed Business Project Management and Operations Management studies at the University of Cape Town in South Africa.

Operations Manager - Mid-Continent and The Bakken
Sheldon joined the QCI team in 2012. Prior to that, he spent 8 years in the United States Army as a Blackhawk crew member. After leaving the Army, Sheldon spent 4 years at Schlumberger Artificial Lift as a field technician, where he was deployed to service the entire mid-continent and eastern United States. During his time at SLB, he gained experience and knowledge of ESP systems and troubleshooting that is an asset to the QCI team today. Sheldon is currently QCI’s Mid-Continent Manager, overseeing operations, sales, and service
Jase joined the QCI team in 2017. He began his career in 2007 with Baker Hughes Artificial Lift in their Management Training Program at headquarters in Claremore, OK. For the next 8 years in Casper, WY and Denver, CO, he progressed from inside sales/customer support to account management, then business development for the entire Rocky Mountain Region. In 2015, Jase joined GE Oil & Gas in Oklahoma City as their Key Account Executive, where he managed all GE business units’ strategic sales on an executive level.
He moved back to Denver, CO in 2017 and joined the QCI team. Jase attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Oklahoma State University. Jase’s extensive knowledge of artificial lift, ESP’s, and unconventional shale plays makes him a crucial member of the QCI team.
HSE / Field Service Manager
Larry joined the QCI team in 2013. Prior to that, he spent four years in the United States Marine Corps as a Scout Observer. After leaving the Marine Corps he worked as an electrician and an inspector. He began working for QCI as an assembly technician and then a field service technician. Applying his adapt and overcome mentality he became the HSE manager and Field Service Manager while assisting with Quality Assurance. Larry also provides training support for QCI employees and customers.
Brian Sneed joined QCI as Engineering Manager. A Houston native, he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University. Upon graduation, Brian soon entered the oilfield industry where he successfully held key roles as engineering designer, project engineer, engineering manager, and business development for new and existing product lines for Proserv, Cameron, Stewart & Stevenson, and Wood Group Pressure Control.
Throughout his twenty-plus year career, Brian has lead the design and management of several large projects for Shell, Exxon, Apache, Anadarko, and Total. During his tenure at Proserv, Brian was the lead in introducing and developing a subsea tree with API Q1 processes and fully qualified, monogrammed API 6A and 17D products. Brian’s diverse background in blowout preventers, surface wellhead, gate valves, subsea trees, subsea manifolds, subsea controls, and various other product lines provides QCI’s engineering the basis to respond to a broad range of solutions to drive innovation and design.
Todd joined QCI in 2014. He began his career in 1991, as a Technical Sales Manager providing surface sales support for the Western hemisphere sales team. In 2006, he transitioned to Superior Wellhead/Azura Energy, which became T3 Acquisition, where he was the Sales and Marketing Manager. In 2010, Todd joined Lufkin as their Global Marketing Director, where he specialized in Artificial Lift solutions and application.
With responsibilities that pertained to managing large proposals, running procedures, literature, graphics and animations, he gained a broad knowledge of wellhead systems and components along with a strong customer understanding. While working in engineering with FMC and Vetco Grey in Houston, Todd attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University. Todd’s broad knowledge of wellheads system and components along with his understanding of customer needs makes him a crucial member of the QCI team.
Tony joined QCI in 2003 as a part-time shop helper while pursuing a career in baseball. Shortly after he was hired full-time as an assembly technician, installer, and international trainer. He became shop foreman in 2010; by demonstrating his extensive knowledge of QCI products, Tony was promoted to his current position, Production Manager, in 2016. Tony attended San Jacinto Junior College and Houston Baptist University. He also played two years of minor league baseball in Louisiana and Mississippi.
Ken Ricard joined QCI in 2017 as the Marketing Manager. Ken supports the domestic and international sales team. Ken moved to Houston, Texas soon after graduating from Purdue University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Graphic Design. He started working for Aker Maritime as the senior graphic designer. Through mergers and acquisitions he gained his marketing experience and became the Marketing Manager for Technip USA before leaving in 2006. Ken brings over 20 years of experience in marketing and graphic design for the Oil and Gas Industry.
Leah Whittaker joined Quick Connectors, Inc., in 2003, while taking advantage of her high school’s co-op program. After graduating with a Bachelors in Business from Sam Houston State University in 2011, she transitioned into Sales Account Manager providing support for QCI’s US based customers. She also provides support for new customer setup with attention to MSAs and contracts.
Regional Director - West Texas & Southeast New Mexico
Ward began working for QCI in 1998 and has over 38 years of Wellhead related experience along with 30 plus years of ESP Penetrator experience. Ward moved to the Permian Basin in 1979 to build on his experience and knowledge of wellheads and ESP Penetrators while working for Rector Well Equipment company. Ward graduated from Midwestern State University in 1979. He went on to get his MBA from the University of Texas Permian Basin.
Mike joined the QCI team as Controller in July 2018. He brings with him over 27 years of experience in Accounting and Finance. He began his career in 1990 with Utex Industries as an accountant where he developed a strong understanding of manufacturing. After twelve years at Utex, he moved on to Grasso Production as their Accounting Manager and soon moved into the Controller role. Grasso was part of the publicly traded Bristow Group, which allowed Mike to gain experience with IFRS, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance.
After several acquisitions and mergers, he became part of Wood Group, where he was the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager for the multi-billion dollar Americas region. He left Wood Group in 2014 and was CFO for an engineering company and a steel fabrication company. Mike has led many ERP implementations, policy and procedure development, and growth strategies, which will be a valuable asset for QCI going forward.
Brenda K. Gage joined Quick Connectors Inc. in 2000 in International Sales. While Brenda’s career originated with Ring-O Valve Inc, in 1994, as a Contract Administrator; after six years, she transitioned companies and roles to operate as the international sales department. In her position, she works closely with international clients to provide both accurate information and suitable equipment; a privilege of her position is to facilitate reliable and constructive relationships with both new and existing clients.
District Manager - Mid Continent
In 2012 Scott moved from Arizona to Oklahoma to join the QCI team as a field service technician. He became Mid-Continent Service Supervisor in 2013; by demonstrating extensive knowledge in scheduling and training field service technicians, Scott was recently promoted to his current position, Mid-Continent District Manager, where his focus is on operations and sales. Prior to QCI, Scott managed a contractor service company providing technical sales and service for building renovations on commercial and residential facilities throughout Arizona, Nevada, and Texas.
R&D / Special Projects
Jim joined QCI as Manufacturing Manager in June of 1993, later served as Engineering Manager and at present is R&D / Special Projects Manager. Jim started his career with Baylor Co. as a draftsman in 1965 where he did extensive design work on 3” chain winless and 3000 HP thrusters for semisubmersible drilling rigs. Joined Custom Cable Co. as Manufacturing Manager in 1974 and was later promoted to VP of Manufacturing and Engineering. Designed and manufactured products like stainless steel Flat Pack subsea control cables.
After four years at Custom Cable Co. he joined Hydril AOS as Manufacturing Manager. At Hydril he manufactured sub sea control pods and set up a complete extrusion line for manufacturing Flat Pack subsea control cables. Jim’s knowledge of all QCI products and processes makes him a valued member of the QCI team.
